Lil Wayne Is Going To Jail!

According to E! Online, Lil Wayne is going to Jail. Reportedly, Lil Wayne accepted Manhattan District Attorney's Office plea agreement and pleaded guilty today to attempted weapons possession charge. As part of the deal, Lil Wayne will serve a one-year prison sentence. Turns out, Lil Wayne was originally facing “a much longer sentence if convicted on the original, more serious gun charges”; Lil Wayne “was initially booked on one count of criminal weapons possession and one count of criminal possession of a loaded weapon, charges carrying a minimum of three and a half years and a maximum of 15”. At this time, Lil Wayne “remains free on his current $30,000 bond but ordered him to surrender his passport”. Lil Wayne's attorney (Stacey Richman) revealed “that the plea agreement had been in the works for some time; Lil Wayne decided that this was what he wanted to do. I think he had made the decision some time ago and there were discussions [with members of his posse]”.
