Kelly’s legal team allegedly requested the postponement, due to the “torrent of publicity already surrounding the case”. Reportedly, despite the fact that a gag order was imposed on the R. Kelly’s case, details surrounding the proceedings was leaked to the Chicago Sun-Times. Still Free!
According to TMZ, a judge issued a bench warrant on Foxy Brown for failure to appear in court on 5/5/08. Turns out, it was all just a misunderstanding. Brown's attorney (Laura Dilimetin) revealed that the hearing had been delayed till 5/8/08, but the rescheduled date wasn’t on the court’s calendar. When the court realized the mistake/blunder, the bench warrant was recalled.
