According to IMDB.com, Britney Spears manage to dodge a misdemeanor hit-and-run charge. Reportedly, “Spears impressed the vehicle's owner Kim Robard-Rifkin by offering a personal apology and $1,000 in compensation, which caused the charges to be dismissed in a Van Nuys court”. Spears’ attorney (J. Michael Flanagan) disclosed that Robard-Rifkin was “very sympathetic toward Britney and hopes the best for her”. On 11/26/07, Spears is scheduled to return to court in order to deal with “charges of driving without a valid
California driver's license”.
