Show Me The Money

A federal judge has frozen the money that O.J. Simpson was paid by Harper Collins imprint Regan Books for his book deal until a decision has been made on whether the funds should be handed over to the Goldman family. Previously Ron Goldman won a $33.5 million wrongful-death judgment against Simpson in 1997. The Goldman family sued Simpson recently in U.S. District Court for about $1.1 million in damages, accusing him of a fraudulently setting up a bogus corporation to funnel the advance he received from publisher Judith Regan. Apparently, Lorraine Brooke Associates allegedly received at least a $1.1 million deposit according to court documents; Simpson was reportedly paid $3.2 million sum.
