According to IMDB.com, Mary-Kate Olsen is set TV in a new role on Showtime cable series Weeds. This will be Mary-Kate “first major acting role without twin sister Ashley Olsen”. Mary-Kate will play Tara, who’s “a devoted Christian teenager living in the religious community of Majestic” and she will be the love interest for Silas (Botwin's son), played by Hunter Parrish”. Mary-Kate will appear in at least “10 episodes of the hit cable program”. Furthermore, Mary-Kate revealed to the Hollywood Reporter that she’s “thrilled to be a part of the show”.
